LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

(1) Oversees the distribution and utilization of manday programs used in support of the training center. Analyzes site support requirements. Develops recommendations for manday distribution. Tracks manday usage, costs, and other relevant data providing trend analysis by directorate. (2) Establishes and conducts an ongoing program to assess the effectiveness of various staff functions including supply, engineering, housing, communications, exchange, service club, recreation, physical security, safety, troop welfare, and other functions, which provides continuing analysis and evaluation of training center operations. Identifies deficiencies or areas requiring improvement, recommends corrective action, and/or initiates studies to determine causes of deficiencies. (3) Develops, implements and evaluates the logistics and property accountability plans and policies for the organization. Serves as the subject matter expert for the command in the area of logistics. Provide oversight to property book operations. Analyzes and coordinates information and requirements with other command levels/sections in the area of supply and equipment readiness for the organizational readiness report. Reviews, analyzes, and develops plans to optimize the impact of future authorization documents and/or force structure changes and the impact on organizational readiness. (4) Develops and coordinates the execution of the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs. (5) May supervise and maintain property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property. Directs the establishment of hand receipt files for each element, whether separate or organic to the organization, and maintains accountability by the use of hand receipt listings. (6) May coordinate with the state level headquarters and subordinate elements of the organization on the lateral transfer and/or turn in of excess property. This includes analyzing the proposed transfer/turn in actions and its impact on readiness. Coordinates annual supply reconciliations with the state level headquarters. (7) May establish quality control procedures and oversees the edit of all documents. Ensures documents are accurate and properly input into the automated system. (8) Analyzes requirements, develops forecasts, directs re-allocation, and provides guidance for the execution of funds for all decentralized logistics resources. These may include operational funds such as secondary stock funds, office supply accounts, transportation funding, various classes of supply. (9) Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to logistics and property management. (10) Is the primary point of contact for the conduct of new material information briefings for the command. (11) Acts on behalf of the commander when attending logistical conferences, meetings, or other forums in which information must be provided or decisions are required. Must have a minimum of 36 months of experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
-This vacancy is open to Warrant Officers only. -Must Complete Fiscal Law and Budget Analyst Course within a year. -Must Complete DoD Financial Management Level II Certification within 2 years. -Must be a member of the Vermont Army National Guard. Please be advised:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
